Apartment Central Leipzig enjoys a convenient city centre location in the heart of Leipzig. Each of the 115 rooms has been designed to offer guests a stay that combines the best of a self catering apartment stay with the facilities of a hotel.
The result is a warm, welcoming and makes a fantastic option for those looking for an affordable place to stay in Leipzig.
First impressions…
Warm and welcoming. Check in was fast and friendly.
The rustic, mountain inspired dƩcor in the reception and lounge area is right up my street and creates a cosy communal area. The perfect retreat after a day exploring all the things to do in Leipzig.
Comfort & Convenience in Leipzig
Apartment Central Leipzig enjoys a superb location offering both comfort and convenience in central Leipzig.
- If you are arriving into the city by rail, Apartment Central Leipzig is an easy 10-15 minute walk from the main train station.
- Parking is available if arriving by car. Prebooking advised, charges apply.
- The bustling Hofe am Bruhl shopping centre is just a short stroll away
- Staying here puts you just moments away from Leipzig Zoo; one of the biggest and oldest in Germany. A highly recommended, fantastic day out!
This affordable apartment hotel in Leipzig is a great option for walkers, being within strolling distance of the main rail station and a great walkable location for sightseeing in the city.
Leipzig Travel Tip: Even in you’re not arriving into Leipzig by train, I highly recommend checking out the station. It’s absolutely beautiful! It’s also where you’ll find shops open on a Sunday, even if the rest of the city is closed.
Apartment Central Leipzig: The Rooms
Room options here are a mix of studio style rooms to multi-bed apartments. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment, offering two double bedrooms and a sofa bed in the lounge area.
Rooms are thoughtfully designed with everything you need for a happy stay: think comfortable beds, sleek bathroom, plenty of towels, hair dryer and basic toiletries.
Free WiFi throughout and enough sockets for all of us to be able to plug in and charge devices.
Our room also featured a large flat screen TV with some English language channels and a selection box of mixed teas and coffees so we could enjoy a hot drink on arrival. A lovely touch.
rooms also come with small but beautifully thought out self catering facilities including a coffee machine, kettle, fridge and dishwasher. Housekeeping supply all the basics like rubbish bags, dishwasher tablets and cleaning cloths.
Apartment Central Leipzig makes a superb self catering option, with lots of places to eat out in the local neighbourhood if you’d rather eat out or mix it up a bit!
The perfect blend of hotel style hospitality with the freedom of a self catering apartment stay in Leipzig.
Reception is manned 24 hours so you always have a source of help and information on hand, but the rooms are self-contained and superbly equipped.
That gorgeous lobby and reception area is a place you can relax , enjoy a drink and meet other travellers if you want to.
Who Would Love to Stay at Apartment Central Leipzig?
- The self contained affordable accommodation is superb for families, couples & solo travellers.
- This budget but stylish option is one of the best places to stay in Leipzig for travellers seeking a budget friendly option that doesn’t hit the wallet as hard as a hotel, but is definitely more luxurious than a hostel.
- Self contained rooms with an open plan social space downstairs make Apartment Central great for solo travellers.
- Perfect for you if you plan to explore Leipzig on foot or by public transport
But Maybe not for You if…
You like the hands on, full service approach . Reception staff are helpful and available, but will leave you to it once checked in.
There is no daily housekeeping here and guests are expected to tidy and lightly clean the room before checking out. There is also no breakfast served although reception offers complimentary hot drinks and croissants each morning.
Value for Money
Superb. We paid under ā¬300 for a two bed apartment that slept six for two nights.
Booking a self-catering apartment in Leipzig allowed us to mix up eating in and out, which is convenient and great for the travel budget.

A thousand times- YES! In a heartbeat. Apartment Central is cosy and comfortable, offers a warm German welcome and is perfectly located for sightseeing in Leipzig. An absolute winner!
