I’m very sad to say that I have recently found out that the Paddington Cafe in Paddington Station has actually closed.

I’m guessing since you, dear reader, found your way here that you have a bit of love for Paddington. I’ve included a couple of Paddington Bear themed things to do in London below. I hope they help!
A Paddington Walking Tour: A Paddington Bear themed walking tour in London, suitable for the whole family. Explore London neighbourhoods, Paddington movie filming locations and places mentioned in the Paddington books.
Meet at Paddington Station, exactly where the Browns met Paddington. A whimsical way to explore the city!
The Paddington Bear Experience: A multi room immersive experience that allows you to step into Paddington’s world. Your mission: to help Paddington and the Brown family prepare for the Marmalade Day Festival! Located at London’s South Bank, find details here.
The Paddington Mural

Paddington Bear is Visit London’s first ever Welcome Ambassador and you’ll find this cheerful mural at Sutton Walk outside Waterloo station until January 2026.
The Paddington Cafe @ Paddington Station (Now Closed)
In Paddington Station in London there is a ‘very rare sort of Café ’ inspired by a very special bear. The Paddington Cafe offers visitors a Paddington Bear inspired experience in the heart of the London station that gave the special little bear his name.

I love Paddington. The adorable bear and all his stories evoke a storybook London for me. A nostalgic London of garden squares and handsome town houses. The sort of London where a kind family might well adopt a lost little bear.
Real life Londoners, don’t come at me. Let me keep my Paddington tinted, happy version of city.
That playful, nostalgic Paddington Bear spirit has been captured beautifully in the café interior. An original Peggy Fortnum illustration from the 1950’s has been recreated as a mural on a red brick wall.

Each table has its own tiny bear engraved into it, while a larger version of the café logo fills out a colourful wooden wall. All so very cheerful.
Even the Wi-Fi details come with a touch of Paddington charm.

It’s all very welcoming and relaxing- vintage touches and lots of wood balanced out with a living wall of leafy green plants. A lovely place to pause.

The café serves a standard coffee shop menu with a Paddington twist. The coffee is Peruvian and an Orange Marmalade Porridge option on the breakfast menu. Slightly disappointed to find no marmalade sandwiches on offer; not even marmalade on toast.
We went for bacon sandwiches and hot chocolates with all the trimmings. All very tasty, hot and served by very friendly and efficient staff. Top marks for speed and service.

The Paddington Cafe is a lovely place for travellers and tourists alike to stop for refreshment. Apart from the lovely bear appeal, the cafe is tucked up in a cosy corner of Paddington station (unlike some other food outlets with open seating, leaving you at the mercy of the pigeons). There are cosy corners, window seats with views across the station and charging points if you need them.
Open 9-5 daily, find the cafe in The Lawn, Paddington Station.

Of course, no trip to Paddington Station would be complete without a wander to find the original statue of the bear himself. You’ll find him on Platform One, along with a quirky Paddington themed bench.

This is such a beautiful post with so many amazing photos. Helen. Paddington Station certainly is one of the most iconic and historic railway stations in London. I love the fictional character of Paddington Bear and would love to take a photo with him. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx
Thanks for reading Aiva, and I agree; Paddington is iconic. Bear and station both!
🥰🥰🥰
I used to live close to Paddington but sadly before the cafe
Lovely Helen, Paddington station isn’t one I use much but the cafe looks beautiful. I’ve still got my Paddington Bear from when I was a teenager. I think it looks so much nicer than the ones on sale nowadays!
How adorable! And i would totally go for marmalade porridge.
I’m with Anabel! And just a little cuddle with Paddington. Merry Christmas, Helen!
This is such a cute cafe! I love the outline of Paddington’s nose and hat on the table corner.
Helen, you had me at Paddington. This is such a neat-looking locale…and obviously a fun place for young and young-at-heart alike. Thanks for the tour!
I’m a real life Londoner but I have no problem with your vision of a Paddington story book city 🙂 And I have to confess I had no idea this cafe existed – although it’s been a couple of years since I was last at Paddington Station so maybe it’s new?
Quite new I think, I suspect it was rolled out along with the Paddington movie release. A lovely little place.
I’m a real-life Londoner and I love your idea of London – much better than the reality. 🙂
Thanks Ruth, real London can be fun too!
Love the look of the cafe. Hopefully they will add marmalade to the menu! X
You’d think so, I think they’re missing a trick. I’d have definitely picked up a jar of Paddington themed marmalade.
Aw this is lovely 🙂
It’s a charming little place, who doesn’t love Paddington?
It’s seem like a lovely cafe!
It’s a lovely little place, definitely one to visit if you’re in London.
Would love to visit the Cafe when I visit London. Sounds really interesting.
I hope you do, it’s a really fun experience. Thanks so much for taking the time to read and comment.
Thanks for the post!
I will definitely go there when I am in London!
This looks fun. Paddington Station is not really on our radar, but we’ll have to make an exception.
I saw the Paddington statue in 2016 but the cafe wasn’t opened then, it’s new. I like his books, so lovely
Adorable
It really was, appreciate you taking the time to read and comment.
Looks like a must visit! Thanks for sharing with us!! 🤩
Would you mind if we reblogged this post on our http://www.5thingstodotoday.com? If so could you perhaps send me a image I could use to use as a featured? Thanks so much. David
Please do, I’d be thrilled!
A Paddington Bear café? That’s so cool! It’s like stepping into a story with Paddington. Think of enjoying snacks and seeing stuff from his adventures. How did I not know about this? It’s a special place where a story comes to life.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read and comment Ann! It really is like stepping into Paddington’s world, a very charming little escape!
I love Paddington Bear and his world!
